Abstract: This article examines the contributions of Shardha Ram Philori, a notable figure in the development of Punjabi prose during the British period. Born in Philor, a town in the Jalandhar District of Indian Punjab. Philori was proficient in several vernacular languages of India, including Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Persian, and Punjabi. His expertise in Oriental languages led him to a position with the British Government, where he authored significant works aimed at training British officers. These writings are considered a valuable repository of Punjabi literature, blending traditional and contemporary elements of Punjabi prose. Abstract: No one could be considered inferior or worse on the basis of gender differences between men and women.God has created both in the same rights. Hussain Shahid's novel "Drakal" has discussed the women of three societies. The status of women in the society is religiously, socially and traditionally dependent. Rulers, bureaucrats, clerics, "businessmen" play an important role in running the society and they set the limits of women in the society for their own benefits. Social hierarchy reflects human thinking. With the help of Drakal, there are many forms of women in the society, in which men are making women do their work by giving them lower status than slaves and using women for their own purposes. The condition of the woman is playing an important role to understand any society viewpoint. A woman herself can change only by progressing, for this a woman needs to fight her own battle and make the present society in batter condintion in the favour of feminisim.
