Directorate Information Techology

Introdcution

In order to support and strengthen high quality higher education and research, GCU recognizes and emphasizes the role of information technology in higher education and research. GCU IT infrastructure includes campus network connectivity (via fiber, UTP and Smart University Wi-Fi), computer labs that allow faculty / students to easily access the Internet, and a digital library (e-books, e-journals, etc.).

In the history of GC University, Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi (Vice Chancellor) has taken a decision to set up an IT directorate (DIT) in 2020. The main objective of the directorate is to provide all the technical support to the university and its staff departments. It is working to provide, maintain and manage the IT infrastructure of the entire university.

Directorate IT works quickly and efficiently to meet all technological requirements and facilitate the innovative use of technology to support learning and creative endeavor.
