Journal of Statistics

Peer-review Process

The Journal of Statistics employs double-blind review, which implies that during the review process, both the reviewer and author identities are disguised from the reviewers, and vice versa.

At the initial stage of peer review by an editorial team member, the manuscripts deemed unfit for publication due to poor structure, writing, or subject are rejected. Once an internal peer review has determined that a manuscript is suitable for publication, it will be sent out for external reviews by two anonymous reviewers with at least one from offshore.

In case one of the two anonymous reviewers rejects the article, the article may be sent to a third reviewer. If the third reviewer does not accept the article, the article will be rejected for publication in the Journal of Statistics at the discretion of the editorial decision. In case of minor and major changes suggested by the reviewers, the comments will be forwarded to the authors for major or minor revisions. Authors will be required to fulfill the suggestions of reviewers with rebuttal if they decide to revise the article.
