The Department has launched BSc (Hons) Physical Education & Sports Sciences in 2017. The Physical Education is a four-year degree. The first two years of the programme provide the of the degree. Year three and four allow specialisation whereby students are encouraged to explore diverse areas.
It is a well-established, highly respected degree, and leads to a variety of careers. The degree emphasises teamwork and helps students develop important interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on critical thinking, effective communication and creative problem solving.The programmes of study occur in a context that encourages interactions between our students and people from all walks of life - including people with elite athletes, academics, business people, and researchers and individuals from various cultures.

This unique course will help the students to develop the to pursue a career in sports and physical education. The student would study a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from coaching theory, as it applies to human movement and exercise. Students will gain a broad understanding of the underlying principles of sports science. As student progress, they will have the opportunity to specialize in areas that their interest and study both physical education and sports science at a more advanced level. Students will be provided with excellent research opportunities and equipped with teaching and training skills in physical education and sports science to promote and develop the health and wellbeing of masses. This program aimed at to encourage creativity, analytical thinking, critical analysis, and innovative problem solving skills in students of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
To nourish research potential and promote research activities keeping in view the Pakistani perspective in addition to abreast the students with the most recent developments and trends in the fields of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. This MPhil course is a pre-doctoral program which develops research aptitude and experiences in the field of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. Physical education, as an integral part of the total educational process, has its aim to develop physical, mental, emotional, and social fitness of people through physical activities.
