Existing facilities at BGGC

Pakistan botanic garden network secretariat was established in 2006 and its building was inaugurated in 2010 at Botanic Garden GC University Lahore. The secretariat provides a forum for the mutual linkages among the existing Botanic Gardens of Pakistan and also encourages the establishment of new Botanic Gardens. PBGNS is equipped with a laboratory having some research facilities, mainly the plant growth chamber with controlled temperature, humidity and light, heating ovens for drying the plant material, etc. It also has a seminar hall, seed bank and small herbarium. Across the country, over 30 Botanic Gardens have been registered with PBGNS, while more Botanic Gardens can register by filling the attached proforma.
