QECAC Unit

Quality Enhancement Cell for Affiliated Colleges (QECACs), a unit of QEC, is responsible to:

Introduce, implement & strengthen quality assurance framework of QAA-HEC in affiliated colleges (ACs); setting targets for each affiliated colleges as per baselines targets provided by QAA-HEC.
Develop and implement mechanisms for continuous quality improvement (CQI) of education delivered at affiliated colleges (ACs) and ratifying the performance assessment of ACs as per QAA targets and / or additional targets set by QECACs; periodic progress review meetings to assess the performances.
Improve / Strengthen the mechanisms of assessments (examinations/ assignments / quizzes / projects, etc.)
Review the academic affiliations of colleges and report the compliance status of ACs against university affiliation criteria/guidelines on a cyclical basis.
Conduct of feedback surveys, analysis of feedback surveys and closing loop activities.
Facilitate the implementation of HEC undergraduate education policies at ACs.
Coordinate with colleges and accreditation councils for timely accreditation of programmes from respective councils.
Develop capacity of faculty, staff and focal persons at each AC.
Through the Director QEC, coordinate and provide information to regulatory bodies like HEC, etc.
Steer other QECACs affairs like sharing important updates with colleges, data submission, management of Turnitin accounts, implementation of HEC policies like plagiarism policy etc., Pakistan Qualification Register, degree attestation issues, preparation of program files, student files, faculty files, etc.
Any other task assigned by the competent authorities of university.

Files’ Arrangements

The universities / colleges may consider the following indicative formats as a reference: I) Program Files The program file shall contain at least the following documents (including but not limited to):

Provision in the Charter (copy of relevant page)
Approval from Statutory Bodies to Launch the Program (BoS, BoF, Academic Council)
Accreditation Letter from Council (if applicable)
Latest Program Scheme of Studies/Curriculum Along with the Complete Approval Trail
Sample Copy of Transcript and Degree (in case students have passed-out)

II) Faculty Files The personal files of all faculty and staff shall be arranged in a way that they cover their entire life at college/s. The documents shall be placed in chronological order that is, starting from job application form (bottom) and moving up with documents, till date. All faculty files shall contain at least the following documents (including but not limited to):

All Previous Academic Credentials and Experience Certificates
Detailed CV and All the Previous Research Publications
Job Application Form
Appointment Letter
Joining Report
HEC Equivalence Certificate in Case of Foreign Degree (if applicable)
Letter(s) of Promotion/Additional Charge (if any)
List of Research Publications in HEC Listed Journals

III) Student Files The student files shall be arranged in a chronological order that is, starting from admission application form (bottom) and moving up with documents, till date. All AD/BS student files shall contain at least the following documents (including but not limited to):

All Previous Educational Documents (equivalence certificate from IBCC in case of O/A level)
Admission Application Form
Admission Test Scores
Name on the Merit List (highlighted)
Offer for Admission Letter
Proof of Completed Coursework Requirements
Proof of Completion of All Other Degree Requirements (project, internship, etc.)
All Extensions Applied and Granted
