Newly established GCU Press begins publishing research journals

The Government College University Press has started publishing academic journals and other university publications. During its first year, the GCU Press has published scholarly journals in the disciplines of English, History, Persian, Punjabi and Psychology. It has also published university's prospectuses and other similar documents. GCU Press is a not-for-profit organization. GCU decides to reform 22-year old grading system

The Government College University Lahore is going to replace a 22-year old relative grading system by a rubric-based absolute marking system. Old Ravian donates for COVID-19 infected GCU employees

Eminent Old Ravian and businessman Mr Nasir Ali on Monday announced an amount of rupees twenty-five thousand for each staff member of Government College University Lahore who is infected by COVID-19 and require extensive treatment. A few days earlier, the Board of Management of GCU Benevolent Fund Employees had also unanimously approved the amount of Rs 50,000 for each employee infected with this virus. GCU to offer salaries to top postgraduate students: Vice Chancellor

The Government College University Lahore will offer salaries to postgraduate students to attract brightest minds across the world from September 2021. These studentships will comprise not just monthly salaries but also fee waivers for the selected top MPhil and PhD scholars. MPhil students will be offered Rs. 40,000 per month and a fee waiver, while PhD scholars will get Rs. 60,000 per month plus a fee waiver. GCU to establish a grand library in its New Campus

The Government College University Lahore has planned to establish one of Pakistan's largest libraries spread over 12.5 acres in its new campus located at Kala Shah Kaku.
