The female faculty, staff and students of Government College University Lahore organized a Mehfil-e-Naat on Wednesday in connection with the month of Rabi ul Awal to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir, Member Punjab Assembly Bibi Waderi, VC Home Economics University Prof. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Wafa Sikandar Hayat (wife of Minister Education Punjab), Director General of Special Education Shahida Farrukh Naveed, Mrs. Ghazala Saad Rafique and Dr Farzana Riaz also attended the gathering and described it as a source of blessings for the institution.
Several students, including Ayesha Toor, Nimra Batool, Fabiha Tanveer, Hafza Hanif, Momina Ahmed, Rida Batool, Dua Batool, Shazia Rai, Maham Tahir, Faiza Rasool, Maryam Siddiq, and Ms. Saira Tahir, recited Na'ats.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Shazia Bashir stated that conferences and gatherings focusing on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will continue, giving students the opportunity to learn from the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). She further emphasized that such spiritual events play a vital role in the moral and spiritual development of students. Mrs. Ghazala Saad Rafique also encouraged students to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
