GCU signs MoU with Chughtai HealthCare

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed here on Thursday between Government College University Lahore and Chughtai HealthCare to provide internship opportunities, access to medical laboratories and diagnostic facilities to the University’s faculty and staff.
GCU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Asghar Zaidi and Chughtai HealthCare Chief Executive Prof. Dr. A. S. Chughtai attended the ceremony, which was followed by an awareness session on the "fight against drug abuse." Medical Superintendent Fountain House Imran Murtaza also addressed the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr A. S. Chughtai said the purpose of this agreement is to facilitate the faculty and staff of the university.  “GCU employees would be given up to 20% discount on diagnostic facilities at Chughtai HealthCare,” he said.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Zaidi said that we have agreed on a tripartite agreement in which GCU will work with Chughtai HealthCare and Fountain House to arrange awareness programs and carry out research on causes of drug addiction. He said that one of our achievements during 2021 has been that we declared GCU a drug free campus.
The Vice-Chancellor said drugs are also a weapon of fifth-generation warfare used to destroy the young generation of a nation. Each one of us will have to fight this war.
The session was followed by an on-campus awareness walk on "fight against drug abuse."
