40,000 plants donated to GCU

The Sophia Mahmood Ali Foundation has donated as many as 40,000 indigenous plants to the Government College University Lahore Horticulture Society to beautify the university's 370 acres new campus at Kala Shah Kaku. The donation is made in the memory of Sophia alias Gulae, a beautiful girl who loves plants and roses, but she unfortunately lost her life at the age of 24. GCU celebrates Baloch Culture Day

The Baloch Culture Day was celebrated here at the Government College University Lahore on Monday with zeal and fervor, as a large number of male and female students wearing traditional Balochi dresses, turbans and shalwar qameez and waistcoats paraded through the University's Bukhari Lawns, performed folk dances and sang Balochi songs. GCU forms Girls Cricket Club

The Government College University Lahore has formed its first ever Girls Cricket Club, and appointed two distinguished Ravians and international cricket players Sidra Amin and Ayesha Zafar as coaches of its female cricket team. GCU starts yoga classes for female students

The Government College University Lahore has initiated regular yoga classes for its female students and faculty members.
