Dr. Farooq Ahmed, an expatriate Old Ravian, has donated rupees two million

GCU convocation postponed
The Government College University Lahore has postponed its Convocation
that's scheduled to be held on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20,
2021.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi said that the Convocation is
postponed due to a prevailing situation of COVID-19 in Lahore. A new date
will be announced in due course of time.
Prof. Zaidi also announced that all scheduled examinations are postponed
immediately for at least two weeks.

A candlelight vigil was held here at the Government College University
Lahore to pay tribute to Pakistan's legendry mountain climber, Muhammad Ali
Sadpara, who lost his life during an expedition to summit the world's
second-highest peak, K2, in the winter season.

40,000 plants donated to GCU
The Sophia Mahmood Ali Foundation has donated as many as 40,000 indigenous
plants to the Government College University Lahore Horticulture Society to
beautify the university's 370 acres new campus at Kala Shah Kaku.
The donation is made in the memory of Sophia alias Gulae, a beautiful girl
who loves plants and roses, but she unfortunately lost her life at the age
of 24. Dr. Ajaz and Mrs Shazia Ajaz, the Gulae's parents, made this

Cricket Club, and appointed two distinguished Ravians and international
cricket players Sidra Amin and Ayesha Zafar as coaches of its female

Lahore on Thursday began at a grand inaugural ceremony at the University's
