GCU to hold entrance tests from 28th

The Government College University Lahore has announced the schedule of its entrance tests for undergraduate admissions in 27 disciplines, clarifying that it wouldn’t be able to adopt the Higher Education Commission’s Undergraduate Studies Aptitude Test (USAT) for admissions this year.Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Asghar Zaidi said that GCU’s entrance tests for undergraduate admissions would take place in small groups from August 28 to September 1, 2021, to ensure strict implementation of SOPs for prevention against COVID19.  He said specific date for the test of each department would be ... GCU to establish multidisciplinary Institute of Chemical Sciences

VC requests Governor to approve allowance for GCU staff

 Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi, the Vice Chancellor of Government College University Lahore, has requested Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar to approve the disparity allowance 2021 for his university employees to reduce discrimination in salaries.In the letter, Vice Chancellor Prof. Zaidi wrote that “a structure of Unified Pay Scale was established in 1972 for all government servants. Academic Council approves reforms in GCU admission policy, accdamic programmes

The Academic Council of Government College University Lahore has approved major reforms in the university's admission process and structure of academic programmes.The Council approved a policy of entrance test and aptitude interview for admissions in undergraduate programmes of all disciplines except Physical Education and Fine Arts, where practical are necessary.Apart from the entrance test carrying a weight of 30%, and aptitude interview 20%, intermediate results will receive the weight of 40% and another 10% will be given to matriculation.Sample papers for the entrance tests and guidelines ...
