Biography

I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Pakistan, where I have been teaching and conducting research since 2012. I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Physics (2019) from Government college University Lahore, where my research focused on the fabrication and characterization of metal-incorporated graphene. Prior to that, I completed my M.Phil. in Applied Physics (2011) at UET Lahore with a thesis on ferromagnetic nanotubes, and an M.Sc. in Physics (2006) with specialization in Advanced Electronics from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

My research focuses on the design, synthesis, and electrochemical characterization of advanced nanomaterials for energy storage and sensing applications. Specifically, I work on developing hybrid supercapacitors, electrochemical sensors, and nanomaterials for photodynamic therapy (PDT). In my research group, we explore metal–organic and carbon-based nanostructures, employing advanced characterization tools such as SEM, AFM, XRD, UV–Vis, and photoluminescence spectroscopy to understand and optimize their properties for multifunctional energy and biomedical uses.

Over the years, I have contributed to more than 30 international research publications in reputed journals including Electrochimica Acta, Journal of Energy Storage, Materials Letters, Progress in Solid State Chemistry, and Journal of Power Sources.
