Biography

Dr. Muhammad Ali is a Lecturer in the Department of Agriculture at Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. His research is highly specialized in Sustainable Agriculture, Mycology, and Plant Pathology, with a particular focus on the biological control of plant diseases, characterization of fungal pathogens, and the development of environmentally friendly biopesticides and formulations to replace harmful agrochemicals. An active and prolific researcher, Dr. Ali has authored over 30 research publications in reputable national and international journals, contributing to a cumulative impact factor of 55.124. His work includes the first report of several plant pathogens in Pakistan and explores the antifungal potential of natural extracts and biocontrol agents. He actively contributes to the scientific community as a reviewer for journals such as PLOS ONE and Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection. He has also contributed to academic literature as an author and co-author of several books on the mushrooms of Pakistan.
