Biography

Dr. Memuna Ghafoor Shahid is an Assistant Professor of Botany at Government College University Lahore, a position she has held since 2016. She earned her PhD, MPhil, and MSc from Government College University Lahore, Pakistan, and began her academic career as a lecturer at the same institution in July 2007. As a passionate botanist, Dr. Shahid leads a research lab (Cell Culture Insight Laboratory) focused on Green Clean Technology Development, FMCG product development and Commercially Important Enzyme (Phytase, Laccase, Ergot Alkaloids, Amylase, Beta Carotenes and Bioethanol) Production. She also serves as an advisor to Horticultural Society, Government College University, Lahore and is the Focal Person for the Green Youth Movement, a flagship program of the Prime Minister's initiative at Government College University, Lahore.
