Biography

Dr. Riffat Iqbal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. She earned her Ph.D. in Zoology with specialization in Cardiovascular Genetics from Government College University, Lahore, and part of her research work was conducted at the Applied Genomic Centre, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she gained valuable research experience in molecular biology, genetics, and genomics. Her research focuses on cardiovascular genetics, molecular genetics, and the genetic and environmental factors underlying cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Dr. Iqbal has extensive teaching and academic experience. contributed to MDCAT question development and assessment for approximately four to five years. In addition to her teaching and academic responsibilities, Dr. Iqbal is actively involved in research and has authored numerous national and international research publications in well-reputed, peer-reviewed impact-factor journals. She has also been involved in the supervision and mentoring of postgraduate research students, including M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars .Dr. Iqbal is a dedicated academic and researcher committed to excellence in teaching, advancement of molecular and genetic research, and development of young scientists in the field of Biological Sciences.
