Biography

Prof. Dr. Fouzia Ghani is Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Political Science at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Pakistan. She also serves as Director of the Institute of Communication Studies and Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Political Science. With over 25 years of academic, research, and administrative experience, she is recognized for her contributions to political science, governance studies, and public policy.
Dr. Ghani holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from GCU Lahore and is an HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor. She is the Co-Convener of the Higher Education Commission's National Curriculum Review Committee for Political Science, where she contributes to the advancement of political science education and research in Pakistan. Her research interests include comparative politics, democratization, governance, political leadership, ethnic politics, civic education, conflict and security studies, climate governance, and research methodology.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Ghani has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed research articles and several book chapters published by internationally renowned publishers, including Springer, Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan, CRC Press, and IntechOpen. She has presented keynote addresses and research papers at numerous national and international conferences and has successfully supervised Ph.D., M.Phil., and undergraduate research across a wide range of political science disciplines.
