I am a DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford and my scholarly research and pedagogic vision focuses on global archival histories.
Prior to my DPhil, I did my BSc in Politics and International Relations at the London School of Economics in 2021 and my MPhil in Modern South Asian Studies at the University of Cambridge (Wolfson College) in 2022, which has provided me with interdisciplinary training as a scholar of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
During my time at GCU, I taught several BS and MPhil courses, ranging from Political Art, Art and Archives, Film History, Colonial Photography and Culture and Memory. I also founded the Institutional Yearbook "The Chronicles", conducted panel discussions for the Institute's Youtube Channel, supervised 6 dissertations and held workshops in museums.
Currently, I am a Graduate Tutor for the Faculty of History and the Department of Politics and International Relations at Oxford, including the school outreach team. I also volunteer for the Ashmolean Museum Archives, assist with the Bodleian library's digitisation of Professor Irfan Habib's personal papers and am a part of the core team of the Oxford Material Culture Network. My DPhil dissertation, under the supervision of Professor Yasmin Khan, focuses on Pakistan's archival history, with a focus on the role of the state and alternative avenues such as the academic and cultural heritage sector. I have also served in several student societies and their journals during my BS.
