Biography
Arooma Kanwal teaches at GC University, Lahore. Her academic and research interests span several interconnected fields, including American Literature, Gender Performativity, Subversive Identities, and Intersectionality. She is particularly interested in examining how literary and cultural texts negotiate power, identity, and resistance. In addition to her literary focus, she works extensively in Socio- and Psycholinguistics, Media Discourse, Discourse Analysis, and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), exploring the ways language constructs meaning, ideology, and social realities.
She integrates her multidisciplinary expertise to create dynamic, research-informed learning environments that encourage critical thinking, analytical depth, and academic confidence among students.
