Biography

Dr. M. Sarfraz is an Assistant Professor in Physics since December 2018. He completed his PhD in 2017 from GC University Lahore and did postdoc from University of Maryland in 2021. His area of research is the Mathematical and simulation modeling of space plasmas in general and solar wind as specific. To date, Dr. Sarfraz supervised 2 PhD, 9 MPhil, and 28 BS research students. He has published 50 research articles in international journals with accumulative impact factor of 150. Presently, his research articles achieved 590 citations with 15 h-index and 20 i-index. In a close collaboration with Prof. Peter Yoon (University of Maryland) and with his other national/international collaborators, he published his work in the top ranked journals of the field e.g. The Astrophysical Journal, Astronomy & Astrophysics, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, Journal of Geophysical Research, Journal of Plasma Physics, Chinese Journal of Physics, Physics of Plasmas, and The European Physical Journal Plus. Dr. Sarfraz has vast 15 years of teaching experience at PhD, BS, and Intermediate levels. On the administrative side of his responsibilities, he was member of the Academic Council, Advisor of Jones Physics Society, Member of the Board of Studies as Lecturer. Currently, he is performing his assigned tasks as Member of the Board of Studies, Focal Person of CM Honhaar Scholarships and PM Laptop Scheme, and In-charge of EMT Lab.
