Dr. Muhammad Ikram obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the Department of Physics, Government College University (GCU) Lahore, through the Pak–US Joint Project between GCU Lahore, Pakistan, and the University of Delaware, USA, in 2015. Following his doctorate, he served as Deputy Director of Manuscript Science at the Punjab Textbook Board, Pakistan. Since 2017, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Physics at GCU Lahore. Dr. Ikram is the Principal Investigator of two funded research projects: one at the Solar Cell Applications Research Lab (NRPU-HEC) and 2nd at the Advanced Nanomaterials Research Laboratory (PSF, Islamabad) at Department of Physics, GC University Lahore. He has been honored with the Seal of Excellence, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship in both 2017 and 2020. He is the author of over 250 research articles published internationally, 20 international book chapters, 8 international books, and U.S. patents. His research interests include the synthesis and characterization of inorganic semiconductor nanomaterials and two-dimensional (2D) materials for water treatment, optoelectronic, energy storage, and electrocatalytic applications. Dr. Ikram has received several prestigious recognitions, including the Best Publication Award (HEC Pakistan, 2024), Excellent Article Award (JMST, 2024), JIEC Most Influential Paper Award (Korean Society of Engineering, 2023), and the Outstanding Reviewer Award (2021).
