Biography

Dr. Hafiz Usman Afzal is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics. He completed his MPhil in Mathematics from GC University Lahore, where he was awarded the Safdar Ali Medal for Excellence in Mathematics—a medal awarded annually to only one outstanding student by the Department of Mathematics. He later earned his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, where he received the Gold Medal in recognition of his exceptional performance. Dr. Afzal’s research focuses primarily on Graph Theory, with a particular interest in graph labeling, coloring, and the algebraic and chemical aspects of the field. His work also explores the applications of graph theory in network design and security systems. Dr. Afzal research work has been published in several renowned international journals. Known for his innovative and interactive teaching style, Dr. Afzal encourages analytical thinking and problem solving among his students, fostering a deep understanding and lasting appreciation of mathematics.
