Biography

I am working as an Assistant Professor of Botany at Department of Botany, Government College University, Lahore. I have done B.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. I have visited Imperial College of Science, Medicine and technology, London in 2010 for 6 months as a part of my PhD research work and learned various molecular techniques for studying mushrooms and ectomycorrhizal ecology and systematics. This visit was fully funded by HEC under IRSIP. I have worked as Assistant Professor under IPFP at Department of Botany, Government College University, Lahore. I have visited Beijing, China funded by HEC to attend Asian Mycological Congress 2013 & 13th International Marine and Freshwater Mycology Symposia, August 19-24 2013, Beijing, CHINA. I have presented my research work. I have visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia funded by HEC to attend International Congress on Agriculture, Food Nutrition, and Biological Sciences (ICAFNBS-2016) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 14-18 Nov, 2016 and presented my research work. I also have visited Springe, Germany funded by HEC to attend International Conference of the German Mycological Society in Springe, Germany, from September 29th to October 5th, 2025 and presented my research work. I am also working as Principal Investigator in HEC funded and ORIC funded projects. I have published many international articles. I have participated in many national and international conferences and seminars.
