BS/BFA/BSCS Programmes

Government College University Lahore being an institution is well equipped with educational resources and requisite infrastructure to realize its vision of higher education in its disciplinary and interdisciplinary dimensions. At present, the University is offering BS Degree Programme in various disciplines. It is an integrated programme of higher education with a carefully planned curriculum, based on the most modern concepts of higher learning.

In accordance with the latest educational practices and theories of curriculum development and the guidelines provided by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, the 4-Year BS Programme has been designed to provide freshmen with wide-ranging learning opportunities. The practice of early narrow specialization has been avoided and open disciplinary spaces have been created through a variety of subject combinations. The combinations of subjects offered at the beginning of the 4-Year graduation program, fulfill the academic and intellectual needs of students with diverse aptitudes and varied plans for future professions.

GC University Lahore has been a pioneer in the promotion of interdisciplinary learning in its programs of higher education. The same spirit and outlook has not only been preserved in the program, but has also been strengthened through the introduction of higher order of interdisciplinary learning. This will equip the young scholars with the conceptual basis and theoretical paradigms underlying their respective areas of disciplinary specialization. GCU administration is confident that this innovative strategy will gradually bring about a transformation in the outlook of our students, and will go a long way in triggering creative processes essential for the production of scientific knowledge and creation of artistic and literary works and will enhance the graduate's acceptability in the job market.

General Eligibility, Rules and Regulations

1. General eligibility to apply for admission:

1. For all BS Programs except the following (Sr. No. 2, 3, 4 & 5) Minimum 50% marks in Intermediate/ DAE/ Equivalent
2. For BFA (Graphic Design and Painting) Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate/ DAE / Equivalent
3. For BSc Electrical Engineering Minimum 60% marks in Intermediate/ DAE/ Equivalent
4. For Pharm-D (5-Years) Minimum 60% marks in FSc (Pre-Medical) OR minimum 60% marks in A-Level with Pre-Medical subjects
5. For BS Information Security Engineering Technology Minimum 60% marks in FSc (Pre-Engineering)/ ICS/ DAE/ Equivalent
6. For BS Medical Laboratory Technology Minimum 50% marks in FSc (Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) OR FSc (Pre-Medical)

2. Admission to various classes in GC University Lahore is granted strictly on and in accordance with the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the University. Applications for admission will be accepted according to the schedule notified, and no Application Form will be accepted after the last date, except with the special permission of the Vice Chancellor. After completion of all the necessary stages of admission, a list of successful candidates will be displayed on the GCU Website. Students who fail to pay all the dues by the due date, their right of admission will be forfeited.

3. University authorities can reject a candidate's application for admission on the grounds of unbecoming character or conduct.

4. University students who were found guilty of misconduct or indiscipline and consequently punished or fined shall not be considered for admission.

5. Applications of the students who are found to have an unbecoming character and conduct will be rejected. No appeal can be filed against the rejection.

6. If, at any stage after a candidate’s admission, the University Authorities learn that the documents submitted by the candidate for admission contain a misstatement, are fake, or contain errors that may affect the merit, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled.

7. The candidates for Co-curricular Activities and Sports shall have to appear in trials according to the schedule.

8. The candidates for admission to BS will be interviewed in person on the dates notified by the relevant departments. Candidates who remain absent will have no claim to admission, irrespective of the marks they have obtained in the HSSC examination/ equivalent.

9. There is no provision for re-sit/repeat of the Pre-Admission Entrance Test.

10. The University reserves the right not to offer admission to any program/ discipline/ major of any session in the Morning or Evening.

Computing Degree Programs

The undergraduate “Computing Degree Programs” are offered in the following three disciplines:

a) BS Computer Science (CS)

b) BS Artificial Intelligence (AI)

c) BS Software Engineering (SE)

The candidates seeking admission to Computing Degree Programs shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

1. Atleast 50% marks in Intermediate / Equivalent Examination with Mathematics or Equivalent qualification with Mathematics, certified by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).

OR

2. Atleast 50% marks in Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Pre-Medical* or Equivalent qualification with Mathematics, certified by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).

Note:* Students with Pre-Medical must have to pass two deficiency courses of Mathematics of 06 credit hours (non-credited) preferably in first two semesters. The University will change the additional fee for two deficiency courses of Mathematics.

Selection Criteria

1. The eligibility criteria for the grant of admission to the computing degree program are in line with the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC).

2. The GCU Admission Test exclusively conducted for computing degree programs will be applicable to all candidates applying for admission in all categories/ bases.

3. The following weightages will be observed to calculate the merit:

The following weightages will be observed to calculate the merit:

Weightage of GCU Entrance Test = 30% (Minimum 50% passing marks) Weightage of Interview = 20% (Minimum 50% passing marks) Weightage of Intermediate/ A-Level Marks = 40%

Weightage of Matriculation/ O-Level Marks = 10%

For the LLB program, both the Law Admission Test (LAT) conducted by HEC, Islamabad, and the GCU Entrance Test are mandatory. All other admission requirements for the LLB program will remain the same as per Bar Council regulations.

B.Ed. (1.5-Years) Program

The vision of B.Ed. (1.5-Years) Program is to prepare future exceptional school teachers and educational leaders.

Eligibility for B.Ed. (1.5-Years)

The applicant must have obtained a degree (in any discipline) after 16 years of education preferably in a school subject from an HEC recognized institution with minimum 2 nd Division in Annual System or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 in Semester System.

Engineering Programs

The university is offering the following two Engineering Programs at Undergraduate level:

a) BSc in Electrical Engineering (Morning)

b) BS Information Security Engineering Technology (Evening)

a. BSc Electrical Engineering (EE)

The University invites applications from all eligible candidates for its BSc Electrical Engineering program. Admission will be granted based on academic merit, ensuring that the most qualified students are selected

Eligibility for BSc Electrical Engineering:

· FSc Pre-Engineering, a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies / Computer Science (ICS) will be allowed for admission and Chemistry will be offered as a remedial subject / course preferably in the 1st Semester and Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.

· DAE / BTech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Avionics/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology/ Precision Mechanical & Instrument/ Radar Technology/ Automation/ Radio Technology/ Instrumentation & Process Control/ Computer, CIT/ Mechatronics.

· GCSE A- Levels or any foreign qualification equivalent to Intermediate (Pre- Engineering)*

· B.Sc. (With Physics and Mathematics)**

Note:

* In case of equivalent foreign qualification, equivalence certificate from IBCC is mandatory.

** In case of BSc (With Physics and Mathematics), candidate must have passed Intermediate with Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical subjects.

A candidate will be considered for admission only:

1. At least 60% marks in Intermediate (Pre-Engineering), Computer Science (ICS) or Equivalent.

2. No third division throughout the academic career.

3. The following entry tests will be considered for admission;

• Entry test conducted by UET Lahore.

• Entry test conducted by NED-UET, Karachi and MUET Jamshoro.

• Entry test conducted by NUST Islamabad.

• Entry test conducted by NTS.

• Entry test conducted by ETEA.

• University entrance test.

• Any other existing recognized entity conducting entry test.

4. Passing marks for entry test will be as per PEC guidelines.

5. Merit will be determined as per PEC/University Guidelines.

Requirements for Diploma Holders/B Tech (Pass) Degree for BSc EE

· Admission against the seats reserved for the holders of Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) will be considered, provided that the candidate has passed the Diploma examination in the relevant technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education.

· Admission against seats reserved for the holders of BTech (Pass) Degree will be considered only if the Degree is in the relevant technology.

Requirement for Holders of BSc Degree (2 Year) for BSc EE

· The candidate must have passed Physics and Mathematics as part of their BSc Degree from a recognized institution.

· The candidate must have passed his/ her Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in either Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical group.

Equivalent Foreign Examinations for BSc EE

The University accepts the following foreign examinations as equivalent to the HSSC (Pre- Engineering) Examination:

· HSSC (Pre-Engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK)

· Cambridge Overseas Higher School

· Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

· British General Certificate of Education (A-Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

· American High School Graduation Diploma (12th Grade) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Equivalence of Certificates up to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Level for BSc EE

Candidates having their Intermediate Certificate level qualification from an institution other than Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (including those mentioned above) must submit a Certificate of Equivalence of their qualification and marks with those of Pakistani Boards, as decided by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Certificate is issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC).

Determination of Merit for BSc EE

The following marks will be used in determining the merit for admission:

· Marks of entry test and the Marks of the following examinations, as applicable

· Intermediate Certificate Examination (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent

· Diploma of Associate Engineer in the technologies already mentioned

· Marks of BSc Degree (with Physics, Mathematics A and Mathematics B)

· Marks of BTech (Pass) Degree

These marks will be adjusted to give credit for Hafiz-e-Quran or deduction for exams passed by parts (if applicable).

Credit for Hifz-e-Quran for BSc EE

A maximum of 20 marks will be added to the academic marks in the Intermediate or equivalent examination of an applicant who is a Hafiz-e-Quran. The candidates will get the benefit only if they have:

· Appeared in and passed the Hafiz-e-Quran test and interview, carrying 10 marks each, arranged by this University

Reduction of Marks for Examination Passed by Parts for BSc EE

If an applicant has passed any examination by parts, 10 marks will be deducted for that examination while calculating the composite score for merit.

Merit of Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics for BSc EE

In determining the merit of an applicant having Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject:

a. It is deemed that s/he has passed the examination by parts.

b. The marks obtained in the subject of Biology are replaced by those obtained in Mathematics.

Calculation of Composite Score for BSc EE

The merit of applicants will be determined by calculating a composite score by combining various grades in different proportions as detailed below:

Determination of Merit in Case of Equal Composite Score

If two or more applicants have equal composite scores (rounded to 3 decimal places), they shall be treated at par for the purpose of admission. In case there is a tie for the last seat, then all the candidates who have secured equal composite scores shall be granted admission. However, no transfer or new entry shall be considered unless the actual number of candidates already admitted falls below the number of seats allocated for that discipline/category.

The candidates will be eligible for admission to BSc Electrical Engineering under following conditions:

· The applicant should have obtained at least 60% marks in Intermediate from the Institute situated in the Province/Area of their respective Domicile.

· The applicant must have passed the entry test for admission to Engineering institutions, arranged by the University of Engineering and Technology from respective province for the academic session 2025.

· The applicant should not have 3rd division throughout his/her academic career.

· Proof of domicile may please be furnished along with the applications.

b. BS Information Security Engineering Technology

At least 60% marks in DAE/ FSc (Pre-Engineering) or other equivalent qualifications such as A-level/ ICS/ BSc (Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks are not included) & GCU Entrance Test with weightage:

i) 70% for academics (DAE/ FSc etc.)

ii) 30% for GCU Entrance Test

1. Currently, as per the Govt. of the Punjab Notification No. 2103/PA-DPIC dated 21-03-2024, the admission will be granted on the basis of Grade-XI (Intermediate Part-I) marks. The candidate shall appear and qualify part-II of Intermediate. However, the candidates with supplementary in Intermediate/ DAE/ Equivalent are ineligible to apply.

2. Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) holders are also eligible to apply for Admissions. The candidates who have passed the first two parts (Part I & II) of DAE are eligible to apply. The candidates shall appear and qualify the final exams of Part- III of DAE.

3. The university will conduct the entrance test for BS Programs. The following weightages will be observed to calculate the merit:

GCU Entrance Test = 30% (Minimum 50% passing marks)
Interview = 20% (Minimum 50% passing marks)
Intermediate/ A-Level Marks = 40%
Matriculation/ O-Level Marks = 10%

4. Test Centers (Optional):The test centers can be established in major cities, e.g., Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta etc., subject to the number of applications received. Otherwise, the test will be conducted at the Main Campus, GC University Lahore.

5. All the admission regulations/ policies/ directions conveyed by the following accreditation bodies will also be observed:

i. Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for BSc Electrical Engineering Program.
ii. National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) for BS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering Programs.
iii. National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC)
iv. Pakistan/Punjab/Lahore Bar Council (whichever applicable) for LLB Program.
v. Pharmacy Council of Pakistan for Pharm-D (5-years)
vi. Or any other accreditation councils.

6. The admissions shall be offered into the Main Campus (i.e. Ketchary Road Lahore) and Kala Shah Kaku (KSK) Campus for various programs.

7. The admission will be offered in two sessions i.e., Regular (Morning) and Self- Supporting (Evening). The Semester Fee of both sessions will be different from each other.

8. Two percent (2%) quota will be observed for the Special/Disabled Candidates.

9. Two percent (2%) quota will be observed for candidates who belong to Minorities by religions.

10. Five percent (5%) quota will be observed for Lawyer’s Son only for LLB Program.

11. For BS in (i) Physics, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Statistics, and (iv) Electronics, candidates must have studied and passed Mathematics in Intermediate/ DAE/ A-Levels Equivalent.

Note:- Students with Pre-Medical OR without Mathematics qualification, must pass two deficiency courses of Mathematics of 06 Credit Hours (Non-Credit), preferably in the first two semesters, to be eligible to study the above programs. The fee for these additional Mathematics courses will be charged.

12. For Pharm-D (5-year), candidates with an FSc (Pre-Engineering) background may apply if they have studied and passed Biology as an additional subject in Intermediate.

13. The DCom holders are only eligible to apply for BS Commerce offered by Department of Commerce & Finance.

14. The University reserves the right not to offer admission to any program/ major.

  • Admission will be strictly on merit which shall be determined on the basis of overall marks and interview.
  • The applicant (Male/Female) applying for admission to BS programme must have passed his/her HSSC with at least 50% Marks.
  • The candidates for admission to BS Programme will be interviewed on the dates notified, and the candidates who remain absent will have no claim to admission, irrespective of the marks they have obtained in the HSSC Examination equivalent.
  • Candidates who select English Literature and Political Science as their major subject are required to pass a written test conducted by the departments in order to qualify for admission. Merit List shall be prepared on the basis of the candidates' score in the written test and Interview.
  • For BSc (Hons) in Physics/Mathematics/Statistics/Electronics/BS(CS), the candidate must have passed his/her HSSC Examination with Mathematics from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
  • Diploma holders DAE/D.Com are not eligible to apply for admission to BS Programme except BSc(Hons) in Electronics offered by department of Physics and B.Com (Hons.) offered by department of Economics.
  • Candidate who passed ICom will be eligible for admission to BS Programme in only those subjects which are allowed by the department concerned.

Details/Description of above Admission Bases

1. Open Merit

Candidates from across Pakistan can apply on an Open Merit Basis. Admission on an Open Merit Basis refers to the process of selecting candidates for admission based solely on their academic achievements and performance in entrance tests (where applicable) or other standardized criteria, without any consideration of quotas, reservations, or special categories.

Even candidates who belong to Disability and Minority groups can apply on Open Merit alongside their reserved quota. This means that all applicants are evaluated equally, and the top-performing candidates are considered for admission.

2. A-Level/Equivalent

Candidates seeking admission on the basis of A-Levels must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC. They must have passed their A-Level examinations in atleast three (03) subjects. A-Level candidates must have completed three subjects to apply for admission. Admission will be granted based on their performance in A-Level or equivalent examinations, and their merit will be determined after converting their A-Level or equivalent grades according to the following scale:

A* = 90 Marks

A = 85 Marks

B = 75 Marks

C = 65 Marks

D = 55 Marks

E = 45 Marks

3. Hifz-e-Quran

Candidate applying for admission on the basis of Hafiz-e-Quran should:

i. Have a certificate from registered Madrassa from where they have completed their Hifz-e-Quran.

ii. Pass the oral test to be conducted for all candidates. The oral test will be conducted only for those candidates who qualify for the entrance test (where applicable).

iii. For Hifz-e-Quran qualified candidates, 20 marks will be awarded.

i. Candidates seeking admission on the basis of outstanding performance in Co-curricular activities must apply specifically under the Co-Curricular Activities category. Please note that applications submitted under this category are processed separately and are not considered under Open Merit.

ii. Attested copies of the Co-curricular Certificates must be provided at the time of trials.

iii. The candidates will have to appear for the trials of the Co-curricular Activities according to the Schedule. The schedule will be available on the GCU website.

iv. The candidates recommended by the Societies' Board will be called for interview on the given schedule. The candidate who remains absent or fails in their interview shall have no claim to admission.

v. Students selected for admission on Co-curricular Activities basis shall be assigned major subject/ discipline by the Selection Committee at the time of interview on the basis of their ability and aptitude. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.

5. Sports

i. Candidates seeking admission on the basis of outstanding performance in Sports must apply specifically under the Sports category. Please note that applications submitted under this category are processed separately and are not considered under Open Merit.

ii. Candidates shall have to appear for the trials of the Sports according to the subject/ discipline given by the Selection Committee. The candidates recommended by the Selection Committee will be called for interview on the given schedule. Selection of the Sports/ Societies Board or Committee cannot be challenged in any court. The candidates who remain absent or fail in the trials/ interview shall lose their claim to admission. No separate arrangement for trials/ interviews will be made by the University in any case.

iii. Sports person is required to actively participate in sports activities and strictly follow the rules and regulations of the University. In case of indiscipline or violation of rules the student shall be expelled from the University.

iv. Sports persons may be given scholarship/ full/ partial dues/ fee concession on account of their outstanding performance in sports on the recommendations of the authority. However, the competent authority can discontinue/ cancel this sports scholarship/fee concession at any stage.

v. None of the sports people are permitted to play for any department or agency outside the University. The sports persons will get prior permission from the Director Sports if they want to participate in any sports other than GC University Lahore, otherwise they shall be expelled from the University.

vi. Relaxation may be granted to sports person only on account of sports activities. Non-Participant sports person is bound to attend regular classes/ examinations according to the schedule.

vii. The Chairman Sports Board and the Director Sports shall have the prerogative to determine the number of seats in each sports/game.

viii. The permission of the semester freeze may be granted to a sports person on account of their sports activities at any stage before the start of mid semester exams. On rejoining, after freeze of the semester, no additional fee will be charged.

ix. The candidates, who were already admitted to Intermediate classes on Sports/ Co-curricular basis and later on take Admission to BS Programs will be considered to have been admitted on Sports basis and are subject to the same obligations as applicable at the Intermediate level.

6. Disability

Two percent (2%) of seats are reserved for special/ disabled candidates at the undergraduate level. Such applicants must provide a 'Disability Certificate' obtained from the Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department, Government of Punjab/Other Provinces, at the time of the interview.

Applicants applying based on disability must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in their Intermediate/ DAE/ A-Level (3-subjects)/ Equivalent examinations. The Entrance test is exempted for disabled applicants.

The programs offered under the accreditation bodies i.e., all Computing, Engineering, Pharm-D (5-Years) and LLB etc., the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the relevant accreditation bodies shall be applicable on the candidates applying on a disability basis. The time to time conditions received from the accreditation bodies shall also be applicable.

7. Minorities

Two percent (2%) of seats are reserved for the candidates belongs to the religious minority at the undergraduate level. Such applicants must provide a religious Minority Certificate obtained from their authorized main/ recognized religious centers at the time of the interview.

Applicants applying on a religious minority basis must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in their Intermediate/ DAE/ A-Level (3-subjects)/ Equivalent examinations. The Entrance test conditions also apply to religious minority applicants.

However, the programs offered under the accreditation bodies i.e., all Computing Programs, Engineering, Pharm-D (5-Years) and LLB etc., the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the relevant accreditation bodies shall be applicable to the candidates applying on religious minority basis. The time to time conditions received from the accreditation bodies shall also be applicable.

8. Old GCU Student

The Old GCU Student admission category is reserved for male candidates who have completed their Intermediate education from GC University Lahore. This unique category honors the institution's tradition and fosters continuity among former students seeking further academic pursuits within their alma mater. Candidates under this category bring with them a deep-rooted familiarity with the university's ethos and culture, enhancing their integration into academic and extracurricular activities. This initiative not only promotes alumni engagement but also supports the university's commitment to nurturing its legacy of academic excellence and community spirit. However, the minimum eligibility and other conditions to admissions will be applicable.

9. Overseas Pakistanis

Apart from seats allocated “On Merit” for BS admissions, additional seats are reserved for children of Overseas Pakistanis.

The general admission conditions for seats reserved for Overseas Pakistanis' children are identical to those for candidates applying to regular BS Programs. However, seats reserved in BSc Electrical Engineering, Pharm-D (5-Years), LLB and all Self-Supporting Programs are not allocated for Overseas Pakistanis’ children.

The candidate's parents must be Pakistani Nationals engaged in work or business in a foreign country.

If a candidate's parent is employed in a foreign country, they must provide a certificate from their employer confirming their employment status and proof of residential status. If the candidate's parent is engaged in business in a foreign country, they should provide proof of their business/ office and residential status at the time of the interview.

Candidates who have passed Intermediate/ DAE/ A-Level Examinations from any Board in Pakistan are eligible.

10. International Students

Admission Requirements for foreign students:

• Foreign students seeking admission to GCU have to apply for admission directly to the University and get the letter of confirmation of admission. Rest of the procedure is as follows:

o The University will send a copy of Admission Letter to the HEC.

o The HEC Pakistan will confirm and endorse admission after clearance from the Ministry of Interior.

• The student will approach the Pakistani Mission abroad for Visa and will submit the following documents:

o Application Form (Student Visa Form)

o Photocopy of Passport

o Photograph

o Educational Documents

o Admission Letter of University

o All other documents required by the Pakistani Mission abroad

• The Pakistani Mission abroad forwards all the documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad for further processing.

• The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad forwards all documents to the Ministry of Interior for security clearance and a copy to Ministry of Education, Health and HEC, Pakistan.

• As per policy of the Ministry of Interior takes about four weeks to complete the process and sends Visa advice to the Mission concerned and copy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and HEC, Pakistan.

• The HEC sends information of Visa advice to Ministry of Education, Health and GC University Lahore.

• Student visa will be issued for duration, likely to extend based on satisfactory performance, inclusive of security clearance.

11. Provinces other than Punjab/ Area Based Seat Allocation

The following seats are reserved for candidates from provinces other than Punjab or area- based, applicable only for regular academic programs:

The candidates from the other provinces can apply through the two methods given below (These methods are not applicable to the BSc Electrical Engineering):

Method-1:Through Nomination (Balochistan, AJK, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan).

Method-2:Direct online application (Nomination from the Provincial Government of KPK, Ex-FATA or Tribal Areas of DG Khan is not required. Their merit for the reserved seats shall be determined by the formula devised for the open merit admissions).

The admission to the provinces other than Punjab or Area Based is offered on the basis of nominations received (where applicable) from their relevant provinces or for selective provinces/ regions. The candidates can apply directly to the University for this category. The following conditions are mandatory to fulfill to apply under this category:

i) The candidate must be a resident of the same province/ region/ area and domicile is required as proof.

ii) Intermediate or equivalent education must be completed at educational institutions located within the relevant province/ region/ area where the applicant holds domicile.

iii) In cases where provinces/ regions do not send nominations, candidates must apply directly to the university and fulfill all the university's conditions.

Important Note for Provincial Quota:

Candidates whose Intermediate/ Equivalent qualification is from outside the province/ region/ area of their domicile, will be ineligible to apply for reserved seats in provinces other than Punjab. In such cases the applications will be excluded.

A student may apply for migration if she/he meets the university open merit with following conditions:

  1. The students who are enrolled in BS Programme in HEC recognized educational institutions will be eligible for migration.

  2. The student's marks should not be below the University's open merit of the particular major. The academic certificates of the student will be examined by the Equivalence Committee. Migration will be allowed by the Registrar�s Office after the recommendation of the Academic Department and Equivalence Committee.

  3. The students admitted on migration basis are not eligible for university hostel.

  4. The students who are studying in 2 years graduation course are not eligible for migration.

  5. At the time of admission, full dues of the Semester are to be paid by the migrating students.

  6. The NOC and character certificate from the respective universities/colleges have to be submitted by the students after approval of the Registrar.

  7. MS/MPhil student must fulfill the minimum admission eligibility criteria laid down by the GC University Lahore & HEC along with above mentioned conditions.

However, his/her admission will be finalized after the evaluation of the courses studied by the student and for credit transfer by the concerned Departmental Academic Committee/Equivalence Committee/Controller of Examinations.
