Government College University (GCU) Lahore hosted the Punjab Final of the Pak-China Friendship Quiz, titled "An Epic Journey: Trust, Trade, and Triumph," to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The provincial competition, organized by the GCU Directorate of Student Affairs, concluded with GCU Faisalabad securing the first position.

The mega-event evaluated students' knowledge on bilateral ties, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), regional history, culture, and current affairs. A total of 27 teams competed in the final, representing the top three teams from preliminary rounds held across nine regions of Punjab. Prominent institutions that participated included the University of Sargodha, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Punjab University, University of Okara, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan, and Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi.

The final was structured into four rigorous stages to thoroughly assess the participants: a written round, a buzzer round, a media round, and a 'Kasauti' (guessing) round. Following a highly competitive contest, GCU Faisalabad was declared the overall winner. A.G. Niazi University secured the second position, while Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) took third place.

GCU Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the students, he congratulated the winning teams and emphasized the broader value of the academic competition. He remarked that while winning is a natural pursuit in life, the most significant achievement for all participants is stepping out of their comfort zones to compete and learn at a provincial level.

Dr. Saima Anwar Dhamial, Deputy Secretary (Universities) at the Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab, also attended as a Special Guest. She expressed her appreciation for the execution of the event, stating that the Higher Education Department was thankful to GCU Lahore for successfully organizing the large-scale quiz and providing an active platform to celebrate the enduring Pak-China friendship.
