A delegation of students from Daanish School (Girls), Vehari, visited Government College University (GCU) Lahore on Thursday to explore the university’s academic facilities, historic heritage and co-curricular opportunities.
During the educational visit, the students toured the university’s Natural History Museum, historic Iqbal Room and science laboratories, gaining insights into GCU’s academic traditions, scientific facilities and rich educational legacy.
The delegation also attended an interactive session with GCU’s Adviser to Students’ Affairs and senior faculty members, who briefed the visiting students on the university’s academic environment, student life and diverse co-curricular activities.
Speaking on the occasion, the faculty members highlighted the importance of holistic education, emphasizing that participation in debates, sports, cultural activities and student societies plays a significant role in developing confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities and character among young students.
They encouraged the students to pursue higher education with dedication and actively participate in activities beyond the classroom to develop their full potential.
The visiting students showed keen interest in the university’s historic buildings, scientific facilities and educational opportunities.
