The Hiking and Mountaineering Club (HMC) of Government College University (GCU) Lahore completed a two-day expedition to Manshi Top and Sajjikot Waterfall. The 28-member delegation undertook the trek to promote physical fitness, team leadership, and eco-awareness.

The group traveled from Lahore through Balakot and Paras, summiting Manshi Top in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Sharan Forest, followed by a scenic visit to the Sajjikot Waterfall in Havelian.

Established during the 1961-62 academic session, the HMC holds a prestige designation among GCU's student societies. The club organizes regular excursions to provide experiential learning, navigation skills, and first-hand exposure to mountain culture outside traditional classroom settings.

GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry congratulated the advisor and the team, stating: "HMC continues to uphold GCU's grand tradition of holistic development. Such trips are not merely about conquering physical altitudes; they are about building character, forging lifelong camaraderie, and developing a profound respect for our natural environment."
