"Targets are meant to be broken. If the top score was 1192 marks this time, it can be 1195 or even higher next time. You can achieve greater numbers if you put in honest effort and keep your goal in sight through all circumstances."

This was stated by Onkar Singh, a brilliant student from the Sikh community who recently secured second position in the BISE Lahore examinations with an outstanding 1189 marks, as he celebrated his admission to Government College University (GCU) Lahore among its newest batch of Intermediate students.

Onkar Singh also scored 98 percent in the Tarjuma Tul Quran subject. Speaking about his overall achievement, Onkar Singh attributed his monumental success to the relentless prayers and hard work of his parents and teachers, acknowledging that reaching this academic milestone would have been incredibly difficult without their constant guidance.

For Onkar Singh, walking through the historic corridors of GCU is the realization of a childhood ambition. "Ever since my primary and matriculation days, my motto was to join this historic institution," he shared.

"GCU is the finest educational institute in Pakistan. Securing admission here is every student's dream, and achieving it at the very top of the merit list has doubled the joy for my family and friends."
