The Institute of Media and Communication Studies (IMCS), Government College University Lahore, in collaboration with the Young Journalists’ Society, celebrated Freshers’ Day with great enthusiasm to welcome the new batches of MS Media and Communication Studies, BS Media and Communication Studies, and BS Digital Communication and Media. The event brought together students and faculty in a vibrant atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

The celebration featured a keynote address by Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad titled “12 Lessons Learnt in Life,” a mindfulness session by Ms. Fariha Faisal, a student quiz competition, and the lively “Fun with Faculty” segment that encouraged interaction and laughter.

Energetic performances by the Nazir Ahmad Music Society added to the festive spirit, followed by an open mic session where students showcased their creativity. The event concluded with a heartfelt farewell to the outgoing batch, who received souvenirs in recognition of their memorable journey and achievements.
