Prof. Rabeya Jalil

Rabeya Jalil is a visual artist and art educator based in Lahore. She received her undergraduate degree from the National College of Arts (2005), Lahore and a Masters in Education from Columbia University, Teachers College, New York, on a Fulbright Scholarship (2013). Jalil’s creative practice includes painting, curriculum development, teacher-education and writing. She is a founding member and co-editor for the Journal of Art and Design Education Pakistan (JADEP), the first peer-reviewed publication about art and design education in the region, and is co-director of Conversations, an online talk show about leading academics, curriculum design and teaching projects in art and design education. Currently, she is Associate Professor and the Head of Painting and Drawing in the Department of Fine Arts at the National College of Arts, Lahore.
