Biography

I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Government College University, Lahore. My professional journey reflects a sustained effort to develop a meaningful dialogue between Islamic tradition and contemporary knowledge systems. Through teaching, research, and academic service, I seek to contribute to Islamic studies as a discipline that is intellectually rigorous, socially relevant, and ethically responsive to modern challenges.
My doctoral research examined assisted reproductive technologies through the principles of Islamic jurisprudence, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, and contemporary fiqh discourse, with the aim of offering an Islamic ethical framework for infertility treatment. Earlier, my MPhil research engaged the Prophetic discourse on health, prevention, and contagion, addressing broader concerns of public health ethics in Islam.
Over time, my research has expanded to integrate classical Islamic thought with modern biomedical, social, and technological questions. In recent years, I have further explored ethical and psychological challenges arising from digital culture and artificial intelligence. Alongside research, I have more than a decade of teaching experience and have actively contributed to academic administration and institutional development.
