BS Programs
Government College University Lahore being an institution is well equipped with educational resources and requisite infrastructure to realize its vision of higher education in its disciplinary and interdisciplinary dimensions. At present, the University is offering BS Degree Program in various disciplines. It is an integrated program of higher education with a carefully planned curriculum, based on the most modern concepts of higher learning.
In accordance with the latest educational practices and theories of curriculum development and the guidelines provided by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, the 4-Year BS Program has been designed to provide freshmen with wide-ranging learning opportunities. The practice of early narrow specialization has been avoided and open disciplinary spaces have been created through a variety of subject combinations. The combinations of subjects offered at the beginning of the 4-Year graduation program, fulfill the academic and intellectual needs of students with diverse aptitudes and varied plans for future professions.
GC University Lahore has been a pioneer in the promotion of interdisciplinary learning in its programs of higher education. The same spirit and outlook has not only been preserved in the program, but has also been strengthened through the introduction of higher order of interdisciplinary learning. This will equip the young scholars with the conceptual basis and theoretical paradigms underlying their respective areas of disciplinary specialization. GCU administration is confident that this innovative strategy will gradually bring about a transformation in the outlook of our students, and will go a long way in triggering creative processes essential for the production of scientific knowledge and creation of artistic and literary works and will enhance the graduate's acceptability in the job market.

- Admission to various classes in GC University Lahore is granted strictly on and in accordance with the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the University. Applications for admission will be accepted according to the schedule notified, and no Application Form will be accepted after the last date, except with the special permission of the Competent Authority. After completion of all the necessary stages of admission, a list of successful candidates will be displayed on the GCU Website. Students who do not pay all the dues within given time frame, their right of admission will be forfeited.
- The University reserves the right to reject or cancel a candidate’s admission application at any stage due to misconduct, indiscipline, poor character, misrepresentation of facts, previous punishment/fine, or any other valid reason, and no appeal against such rejection shall be entertained.
- The candidates for Co-curricular Activities and Sports shall have to appear in trials according to the notified schedule.
- The University reserves the right not to offer admission to any program/ discipline/ major of any session in the Morning or Evening or Self-Finance.
- All the admission regulations/ policies/ directions conveyed by the following accreditation
bodies will also be observed:
- Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for BSc Electrical Engineering Program.
- National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) for BS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering Programs.
- Pakistan/Punjab/Lahore Bar Council (whichever applicable) for LLB Program.
- Pharmacy Council of Pakistan for Pharm-D (5-years)
- Any other rules and regulations provided by the council or accreditation body.
- The candidates can apply through an Online Admission Portal of GC University Lahore at www.gcuonline.pk
- The processing fee of Rs. 1000/-will be applicable for each subject. The candidate must submit the fee at any branch of UBL bank across Pakistan. Payment via mobile app or UBL Omni is not acceptable.
- The hard copy or printout of the Admission Form (except Self-Finance Category) is not required to be submitted in any office of the University till the display of merit lists. However, the admission form alongwith copies of credentials will be required only for on-merit/short-listed candidates at the time of interviews/ documents verification by the respective academic departments.
- Admissions to all Undergraduate programs shall be granted provisionally on the basis of Intermediate Part-I and DAE * (Year I & II). However, applicants must have appeared in the final examination of their respective stream and mandatory to qualify. Candidates are required to qualify their final examinations and submit the relevant results to the University within the prescribed timeframe.
- For Advanced Subsidiary (AS)**/A**-Level,
admissions to all undergraduate programs shall be granted on the basis of 3
subjects (Results awaiting are also eligible to apply).
Note:-- AS Level = Candidates who have passed two subjects and are appearing/have appeared for 3rd Subject.
- A-Level = Candidates who have passed or are awaiting results (at least 3 subjects of A-level).
- The University reserves the right to cancel the provisional admission of those candidates who fail to qualify their Final Examination and/or secure Supplementary in any subject or otherwise fail to meet the prescribed eligibility requirements.
*DAE holders are eligible for selective/relevant (specific) BS Programs. The orders of the honourable Supreme Court will also be observed for DAE holders.
**Grades of O-Level and AS/A Level will be converted according to the following numbers to calculate obtained marks and total marks.

- Candidates who are going to appear or have appeared in composite or combined examinations of Intermediate Part I & II and DAE, regardless of any reason, shall be ineligible for admission to any Undergraduate program.
- Candidates with supplementary in Intermediate (Part-I) or DAE are also ineligible to apply.
- The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to BS/ ADP
programs is 50% marks in Intermediate Part-I, DAE* (Year I & II), or
Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level. However, for the following programs, the
minimum required percentage shall be as specified:

Any additional minimum requirement prescribed by the relevant accreditation or regulatory body will also be applicable.
- Admissions to Undergraduate programs shall be granted on the basis of Open Merit. However, an entry test requirement shall apply only to those academic programs for which it is prescribed by the relevant accreditation or regulatory body, such as the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) for LLB and ECAT/GCU Test for Engineering programs, etc. (wherever is applicable).
- For Engineering programs, valid ECAT score conducted by testing agencies recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), or conducted by the GCU Lahore (whichever is applicable), shall be accepted for admission purpose.
- For LLB admissions, qualification of the HEC LAT shall be mandatory prior to the closing date for submission of applications. Students without an HEC LAT test or who appeared after the closing date shall be ineligible to apply.

- The requirement of an entry test shall remain applicable to the disciplines where a specified level of physical fitness or practical skills is essential for admission, such as Physical Education and BFA, etc.
- There shall be no separate admission category or quota for Hifz-e-Quran candidates. Such candidates shall apply under the Open Merit base. The candidate will be awarded 20 marks into the Intermediate Part-I/ DAE (Year I & II)/ AS Level obtained marks. In case the candidate did not qualify the oral test of Quran-e-Majeed, the additional 20 marks will be withdrawn and declared failed for this category.
- Two percent (2%) quota will be observed for the Special/Disabled Candidates.
- Two percent (2%) quota will be observed for candidates who belong to Minorities by religions.
- Five percent (5%) quota will be observed for Lawyer’s Children only for LLB Program.
- All the Govt. approved quotas/special seats etc. will be considered as per the Government notifications.
- All other minimum eligibility criteria already in practice, as approved by the relevant authorities, accreditation councils, court orders, and the Syndicate, shall remain unchanged.

For BS in (i) Physics, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Statistics, and (iv)
Electronics, candidates must have studied and passed Mathematics in
Intermediate (Part-I)/ DAE/ A-Levels Equivalent.
Note:-Students with Pre-Medical OR without Mathematics qualification, must pass two deficiency courses of Mathematics of 06 Credit Hours (Non-Credit), preferably in the first two semesters, to be eligible to study the above programs. The fee for these additional Mathematics courses will be charged. - For Pharm-D (5-year), candidates with an FSc (Pre-Engineering) background may apply if they have studied and passed Biology as an additional subject in Intermediate.
- The DCom holders are only eligible to apply for BS Commerce offered by Department of Commerce & Finance.
BS Medical Laboratory Technology
Those candidates who did FSc (Part-I) Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) OR FSc Part-I (Pre-Medical) are eligible to apply for BS Medical Laboratory Technology.
Computing Degree Programs
The candidates seeking admission to Computing Degree Programs shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
1. Atleast 50% marks in Intermediate / Equivalent Examination with Mathematics or Equivalent qualification with Mathematics, certified by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).
2. Atleast 50% marks in Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Pre-Medical* or Equivalent qualification with Mathematics, certified by Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).
Note:* Students with Pre-Medical must have to pass two deficiency courses of Mathematics of 06 credit hours (non-credited) preferably in first two semesters. The University will change the additional fee for two deficiency courses of Mathematics.
LLB
Candidates must pass the Law Admission Test (LAT) conducted by HEC, Islamabad. Other admission criteria for the LLB Program will remain the same in line with the requirements of the University. The following admission basis will be offered for LLB:

B.Ed. (1.5-Years) Program
The applicant must have obtained a degree (in any discipline) after 16 years of education preferably in a school subject from an HEC recognized institution with minimum 2 nd Division in Annual System or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 in Semester System.
BSc Electrical Engineering
The University invites applications from all eligible candidates for its BSc Electrical Engineering program. Admission will be granted based on academic merit, ensuring that the most qualified students are selected. The following admission basis will be offered for BSc Electrical Engineering:
- Open Merit/ Hifz-e-Quran
- A-Level / Equivalent
- Disabilities (2% Quota)
- Provinces other than Punjab
- Balochistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, KPK, EX-FATA, Gwadar
Eligibility for BSc Electrical Engineering:
- FSc Pre-Engineering, a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies / Computer Science (ICS) will be allowed for admission and Chemistry will be offered as a remedial subject / course preferably in the 1st Semester and Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.
- DAE / BTech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Avionics/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology/ Precision Mechanical & Instrument/ Radar Technology/ Automation/ Radio Technology/ Instrumentation & Process Control/ Computer, CIT/ Mechatronics.
- GCSE A- Levels or any foreign qualification equivalent to Intermediate (Pre-Engineering)*
- B.Sc. (With Physics and Mathematics)**
Note:
* In case of equivalent foreign qualification submission of
equivalence certificate from IBCC is mandatory.
** In case of BSc (With Physics and Mathematics), candidate must
have passed Intermediate with Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical subjects.
A candidate will be considered for admission only:
- At least 60% marks in Intermediate (Pre-Engineering), Computer Science (ICS) or Equivalent.
- No third division throughout the academic career.

The following entry tests will be considered for admission;
- Entry test conducted by UET Lahore.
- Entry test conducted by NED-UET, Karachi and MUET Jamshoro.
- Entry test conducted by NUST Islamabad.
- Entry test conducted by NTS.
- Entry test conducted by ETEA.
- University entrance test.
- Any other existing recognized entity conducting entry test.
- Passing marks for entry test will be as per PEC guidelines.
- Merit will be determined as per PEC/University guidelines.
Requirements for Diploma Holders/B Tech (Pass) Degree for BSc Electrical Engineering
- Admission against the seats reserved for the holders of Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) will be considered, provided that the candidate has passed the Diploma examination in the relevant technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education.
- Admission against seats reserved for the holders of BTech (Pass) Degree will be considered only if the Degree is in the relevant technology.
Requirement for Holders of BSc Degree (2 Year) for BSc Electrical Engineering
- The candidate must have passed Physics and Mathematics as part of their BSc Degree from a recognized institution.
- The candidate must have passed his/ her Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in either Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical group.
Equivalent Foreign Examinations for BSc Electrical Engineering
The University accepts the following foreign examinations as equivalent to the HSSC (Pre- Engineering) Examination:
- HSSC (Pre-Engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK)
- Cambridge Overseas Higher School
- Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from IBCC
- British General Certificate of Education (A-Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- American High School Graduation Diploma (12th Grade) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Equivalence of Certificates up to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Level for BSc Electrical Engineering
Candidates having their Intermediate Certificate level qualification from an institution other than Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (including those mentioned above) must submit a Certificate of Equivalence of their qualification and marks with those of Pakistani Boards, as decided by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Certificate is issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC)
Determination of Merit for BSc Electrical Engineering
The following marks will be used in determining the merit for admission:
Marks of entry test and the Marks of the following examinations,
as applicable
a) Intermediate Certificate Examination (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent
b) Diploma of Associate Engineer in the technologies already mentioned
c) Marks of BSc Degree (with Physics, Mathematics A and Mathematics B)
d) Marks of BTech (Pass) Degree
These marks will be adjusted to give credit for Hafiz-e-Quran or deduction
for exams passed by parts (if applicable).
Reduction of Marks for Examination Passed by Parts for BSc Electrical Engineering
If an applicant has passed any examination by parts, 10 marks will be deducted for that examination while calculating the composite score for merit.
Merit of Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics for BSc Electrical Engineering
In determining the merit of an applicant having Intermediate (Pre-Medical)
with Mathematics as an additional subject:
a) It is deemed that s/he has passed the examination by parts.
b) The marks obtained in the subject of Biology are replaced by
those obtained in Mathematics.
Calculation of Composite Score for BSc Electrical Engineering
The merit of applicants will be determined by calculating a composite score by combining various grades in different proportions as detailed below:
For applicants with Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent as the highest qualification:

Determination of Merit in Case of Equal Composite Score
If two or more applicants have equal composite scores (rounded to 3 decimal places), they shall be treated at par for the purpose of admission. In case there is a tie for the last seat, then all the candidates who have secured equal composite scores shall be granted admission. However, no transfer or new entry shall be considered unless the actual number of candidates already admitted falls below the number of seats allocated for that discipline/category.

The candidates will be eligible to apply for admission to BSc Electrical Engineering under following conditions:
- The applicant should have obtained at least 60% marks in Intermediate from the Institute situated in the Province/Area of their respective Domicile.
- The applicant must have passed the entry test for admission to Engineering institutions, organized by the PEC approved Universities or Bodies.
- The applicant should not have 3 rd division throughout his/her academic career.
- Proof of domicile may please be furnished along with the applications.

Note: Minority and Disability Quota shall be offered for
those BS Programs which are offered in Evening only.
Open Merit/ Hifz-e-Quran
Candidates from across Pakistan can apply for admission on an Open Merit basis, where
selection is made strictly on academic performance, entrance test (where applicable) or
other prescribed criteria, without consideration of quotas, reservations, or special
categories. Candidates belonging to disability and minority groups may also apply under
Open
Merit in addition to their respective reserved quota options.
For Hifz-e-Quran candidates, there is no separate admission category, they can apply
under
Open Merit category and select Hifz-e-Quran option during filling in the admission form.
Such candidates will be awarded an additional 20 marks in their Intermediate Part-I/ DAE
(Year I & II)/ AS Level marks, subject to passing the Quran-e-Majeed oral test. In case
of
failure in the oral test, the additional 20 marks will be withdrawn and the candidate
will
not be considered under the Hifz-e-Quran benefit.
A-Level/Equivalent
For Advanced Subsidiary (AS)**/A**-Level, admissions to all undergraduate programs shall
be
granted on the basis of 3 subjects (Results awaiting are also eligible to apply).
Note:-
- AS Level = Candidates who have passed two subjects and are appearing/have appeared
for
3rd Subject.
- A-Level = Candidates who have passed or are awaiting results (at least 3 subjects of
A-level).
After completion of all three subjects of A-Level, an equivalence form IBCC shall be
required to submit in the Department/ Admission Office.
Self-Finance
A Self-Finance Seat is an admission category in which students are required to pay the
prescribed Self-Finance Fee* in addition to the regular University fee, subject to the
eligibility criteria and merit. However, admission under the Self-Finance category may
be
restricted in some programs governed by professional/ accreditation councils, such as
BSc
Electrical Engineering, etc.
*
A Self-Finance Fee of Rs. 500,000/- shall be applicable for BS
Computer
Science, LL.B.,
and Pharm-D, whereas Rs. 250,000/- shall be applicable for the remaining BS programs
in
addition to the regular University fee.
Note:
The University reserves the right not to offer admissions under the
Self-Finance
Category in any program and also reserves the right to convert such seats into Open
Merit
seats.
Co-curricular Activities

- The candidates seeking admission on the basis of outstanding performance in
Co-curricular Activities are required to apply on co-curricular Activities category.
A
candidate applying on Co-curricular basis will not be considered on Open Merit at
the
same time. They are required to submit a separate admission form on Open Merit.
- Attested copies of the Cocurricular Certificates must be provided at the time of
trials.
- The candidates will have to appear for the trials of the Co-curricular Activities
according to the notified schedule. The trial schedule will be available on the GCU
website.
- The candidates recommended by the Societies' Board will be called for interview on
the
given schedule. The candidate who remains absent or fails in their interview shall
have
no claim to admission.
- Students selected for admission on Co-curricular basis shall be assigned major
Subject
by the Admission Committee at the time of interview on the basis of their ability
and
aptitude. The decision of the Admission Committee will be final.
Sports
- The candidates seeking admission on the basis of outstanding performance in sports
are
required to apply in the sports category. A candidate applying on sports basis will
not
be considered on Open Merit at the same time. They are required to submit a separate
admission form on Open Merit.
- Candidates shall have to appear for the trials of the sports according to the
program
given by the Sports Office. The candidates recommended by the Director Sports will
be
called for interview on the given schedule. Selection of the Sports/Societies Board
or
Committee cannot be challenged in any court. The candidates who remain absent or
fail in
the trials/interview shall lose their claim to admission. No separate arrangement
for
trials/interviews will be made by the University in any case.
- Students admitted on sports basis shall be assigned major subjects by the Admission
Committee at the time of the interview on the basis of their ability and aptitude.
The
decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.
- Sports person is required to actively participate in sports activities and strictly
follow the rules and regulations of the University. In case of indiscipline or
violation
of rules the student shall be expelled from the University.
- Sports persons may be given scholarship/full/partial dues/fee concession on account
of
their outstanding performance in sports on the recommendations of the Director
Sports.
However, the competent authority can discontinue/cancel this sports scholarship/fee
concession at any stage.
- None of the sports people are permitted to play for any department or agency outside
the
University. The sports persons will get prior permission from the Director Sports if
they want to participate in any sports other than GC University Lahore, otherwise
they
shall be expelled from the University.
- Relaxation may be granted to sports person only on account of sports activities.
Non-Participant sports person is bound to attend regular classes/ examinations
according
to the schedule.
- The Chairman Sports Board and the Director Sports shall have the prerogative to
determine the number of seats in each sports/game.
- The permission of the semester freeze may be granted to a sports person on account
of
their sports activities at any stage before the start of mid semester exams. On
rejoining, after freeze of the semester, no additional fee will be charged.
- The candidates, who were already admitted to Intermediate classes on Sports/Co-
curricular basis and later on take Admission to BS Programs will be considered to
have
been admitted on sports basis and are subject to the same obligations as applicable
at
the Intermediate level.
Disability
Two percent of seats are reserved for special/ disabled candidates at the undergraduate
level. Such applicants must provide a 'Disability Certificate' obtained from the Social
Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department, Government of Punjab/Other Provinces, at the time
of
the interview.
Applicants applying based on disability must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in their
Intermediate (Part-I)/ DAE (Part I & II)/ A-Level (3-subjects)/ Equivalent examinations.
The minimum eligibility criteria for programs offered under accreditation bodies, such
as
Computing, Engineering, Pharm-D (5 Years), and LL.B., etc., shall be observed in
accordance
with the prescribed benchmarks of the respective accreditation bodies. The time to time
conditions received from the accreditation bodies shall also be applicable.

obtained from their authorized main/ recognized religious centers at the time of the

The Old GCU Student admission category is reserved for male candidates who have

their Intermediate education from GC University Lahore. However, the minimum eligibility

Overseas Pakistanis
The University reserves special seats under the “Overseas Pakistanis Quota” for the
children
of Overseas Pakistanis. The general admission conditions applicable to these reserved
seats
shall be observed. However, BSc Electrical Engineering, Pharm-D (5 Years) and LLB
programs
are not offered under the Overseas Pakistanis Quota.
Note: Students admitted under this category shall be required to pay the regular
University fee along with an additional amount in US Dollars. For further details,
please
contact the Fee Section, Treasurer Office.
The Overseas Parents must provide a certificate from their employer confirming their
employment status and proof of residential status. In case of business in a foreign
country,
they should provide proof of their business/ office and residential status at the time
of
the interview.
International Students
Admission Requirements for foreign students:
- Foreign students seeking admission to GCU have to apply for admission directly to
the
University and get the letter of confirmation of admission. Rest of the procedure is
as
follows:
- The University will send a copy of Admission Letter to the HEC.
- The HEC Pakistan will confirm and endorse admission after clearance from the
Ministry of Interior.
- The student will approach the Pakistani Mission abroad for Visa and will submit the
following documents:
- Application Form (Student Visa Form)
- Photocopy of Passport
- Photograph
- Educational Documents
- Admission Letter of University
- All other documents required by the Pakistani Mission abroad
- The Pakistani Mission abroad forwards all the documents to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, Islamabad for further processing.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad forwards all documents to the Ministry of
Interior for security clearance and a copy to Ministry of Education, Health and HEC,
Pakistan.
- As per policy of the Ministry of Interior takes about four weeks to complete the
process
and sends Visa advice to the Mission concerned and copy to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs
and HEC, Pakistan.
- The HEC sends information of Visa advice to Ministry of Education, Health and GC
University Lahore.
- Student visa will be issued for duration, likely to extend based on satisfactory
performance, inclusive of security clearance.

Open Merit/ Hifz-e-Quran
Candidates from across Pakistan can apply for admission on an Open Merit basis, where selection is made strictly on academic performance, entrance test (where applicable) or other prescribed criteria, without consideration of quotas, reservations, or special categories. Candidates belonging to disability and minority groups may also apply under Open Merit in addition to their respective reserved quota options.
For Hifz-e-Quran candidates, there is no separate admission category, they can apply under Open Merit category and select Hifz-e-Quran option during filling in the admission form. Such candidates will be awarded an additional 20 marks in their Intermediate Part-I/ DAE (Year I & II)/ AS Level marks, subject to passing the Quran-e-Majeed oral test. In case of failure in the oral test, the additional 20 marks will be withdrawn and the candidate will not be considered under the Hifz-e-Quran benefit.
A-Level/Equivalent
For Advanced Subsidiary (AS)**/A**-Level, admissions to all undergraduate programs shall be granted on the basis of 3 subjects (Results awaiting are also eligible to apply).
Note:-- AS Level = Candidates who have passed two subjects and are appearing/have appeared for 3rd Subject.
- A-Level = Candidates who have passed or are awaiting results (at least 3 subjects of A-level).
After completion of all three subjects of A-Level, an equivalence form IBCC shall be required to submit in the Department/ Admission Office.
Self-Finance
A Self-Finance Seat is an admission category in which students are required to pay the prescribed Self-Finance Fee* in addition to the regular University fee, subject to the eligibility criteria and merit. However, admission under the Self-Finance category may be restricted in some programs governed by professional/ accreditation councils, such as BSc Electrical Engineering, etc.
* A Self-Finance Fee of Rs. 500,000/- shall be applicable for BS Computer Science, LL.B., and Pharm-D, whereas Rs. 250,000/- shall be applicable for the remaining BS programs in addition to the regular University fee.
Note: The University reserves the right not to offer admissions under the Self-Finance Category in any program and also reserves the right to convert such seats into Open Merit seats.

- The candidates seeking admission on the basis of outstanding performance in Co-curricular Activities are required to apply on co-curricular Activities category. A candidate applying on Co-curricular basis will not be considered on Open Merit at the same time. They are required to submit a separate admission form on Open Merit.
- Attested copies of the Cocurricular Certificates must be provided at the time of trials.
- The candidates will have to appear for the trials of the Co-curricular Activities according to the notified schedule. The trial schedule will be available on the GCU website.
- The candidates recommended by the Societies' Board will be called for interview on the given schedule. The candidate who remains absent or fails in their interview shall have no claim to admission.
- Students selected for admission on Co-curricular basis shall be assigned major Subject by the Admission Committee at the time of interview on the basis of their ability and aptitude. The decision of the Admission Committee will be final.
Sports
- The candidates seeking admission on the basis of outstanding performance in sports are required to apply in the sports category. A candidate applying on sports basis will not be considered on Open Merit at the same time. They are required to submit a separate admission form on Open Merit.
- Candidates shall have to appear for the trials of the sports according to the program given by the Sports Office. The candidates recommended by the Director Sports will be called for interview on the given schedule. Selection of the Sports/Societies Board or Committee cannot be challenged in any court. The candidates who remain absent or fail in the trials/interview shall lose their claim to admission. No separate arrangement for trials/interviews will be made by the University in any case.
- Students admitted on sports basis shall be assigned major subjects by the Admission Committee at the time of the interview on the basis of their ability and aptitude. The decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.
- Sports person is required to actively participate in sports activities and strictly follow the rules and regulations of the University. In case of indiscipline or violation of rules the student shall be expelled from the University.
- Sports persons may be given scholarship/full/partial dues/fee concession on account of their outstanding performance in sports on the recommendations of the Director Sports. However, the competent authority can discontinue/cancel this sports scholarship/fee concession at any stage.
- None of the sports people are permitted to play for any department or agency outside the University. The sports persons will get prior permission from the Director Sports if they want to participate in any sports other than GC University Lahore, otherwise they shall be expelled from the University.
- Relaxation may be granted to sports person only on account of sports activities. Non-Participant sports person is bound to attend regular classes/ examinations according to the schedule.
- The Chairman Sports Board and the Director Sports shall have the prerogative to determine the number of seats in each sports/game.
- The permission of the semester freeze may be granted to a sports person on account of their sports activities at any stage before the start of mid semester exams. On rejoining, after freeze of the semester, no additional fee will be charged.
