Student life is always symbolized as the most exciting part of one’s life. Often people romanticize student life and describe it as the most exciting part of their life, which is true. Life at campus is full of so much of happenings, like exams, social gatherings, class presentations, performance pressure, competition, field trips, relationships and much more. Everyone has right to make best out of his/ her student life and make it pleasantly memorable. This can be done by achieving and maintaining physical and mental health and creating a fine balance in life. In order to help the students in their aspiring journeys, GCU has established counseling services, named as “Campus Counseling Services”. This service helps student to overcome their personal, academic and social problems and to flourish in life.

In today’s modern world stress has become an integral part of our lives, especially student are very prone to stress. Therefore to address your needs group counseling sessions are also arranged. These sessions tells you about different techniques and ways to manage your stress and ease your life.

Study Skills

In this session you learn about developing important and useful study skills and habits to ensure your academic success.

Anger Management

In this session different ways and strategies to manage your anger are discussed with special emphasize on effective communication.

Developing Effective Social Skills

This groups session deals with developing essential and important communication strategies to become a confidant speaker and to develop successful social relations.


Group counseling is a form of counseling that emphasizes on the benefits of shared experiences.

Group counseling sessions are very effective in the sense that they provide the following benefits:

  • We can learn from the experiences of others
  • A chance to meet with the people having experiences similar to ours.
  • In less time bigger problems can be solved.
  • An opportunity to exchange variety of ideas.

The Process

  • A group can ideally consist of six to eight members at one time.
  • Usually in a group session a particular topic about the interest of all the participants is explored and dealt with.
  • Like the individual counseling, the confidentiality of all the participants is highly respected.
