University Rules and Regulations
the University Rules, every student of Intermediate (FA/FSc/ICom) has
to wear Uniform. The purpose of specifying a Uniform is that the
students should have a distinct identity, and also, they refrain
from wearing expensive and gaudy clothes. The University has
prescribed the following Uniform for Intermediate students:
(November 01 to March 31)
Maroon College Blazer, along with College Badge/Crest, or Maroon
Sweater and Black Shoes
(April 01 to October 31)
Proctor or a Teacher can check a student in the University's
premises, if without a uniform he can be fined.
It is compulsory for every University student to
obtain his Identity Card from the University ID Card Office
immediately after his admission. Defaulters will be fined.
Students are directed to contact Ms. Hina Khan, Assistant Professor (Statistics) in this regard.
If an Identity Card is lost, a new Card will be
issued for Rs.200/-.
A student should always display his Identity
Card at all times. Anyone not in possession of an ID Card will be fined
Rs.50/-. Refusal to show the Identity Card can entail a heavy
fine, which will not be condoned.
Student's Identity Card is the property of the
University. It is compulsory for every student to hand over his
Identity Card to the University ID Card Office for record, if he is dropped from the University rolls,
or migrates to another college or at the termination of the
For traveling purposes, another Identity Card can
be obtained from the University ID Card Office after admission
by the students who may need it. No certificate will be issued unless the students
have deposited their Identity Cards to the University.
The minimum attendance percentage in each subject to qualify
for final examination will be 75% as per BISE regulations.
In case a student leaves the University without the approval
of sanctioning/concerned authority and if his attendance
falls below 50% in a month, he will be dropped from the
University roll and his status will be notified and
communicated to the parents.
There is no
concept of leave in FA/FSc academic programme. However, students
have to maintain minimum attendance in theory/practical classes
as per requirement of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary
In case in illness and any other emergency a
student of FA/FSc/ICom has to apply for leave with supporting documents to
the Director Intermediate Studies immediately after joining
the classes for the consideration of authorities.
i. A student who wants to leave the University
should apply to the Registrar on the prescribed proforma. His
application must be countersigned by his father/guardian.
ii. University leaving certificate will only be
issued to the student whose case is verified and authenticated
by all the concerned departments of the University and has
deposited the University leaving certificate fee and also there
is nothing outstanding against him.
Lahore is committed in creating and maintaining efficient
educational and working environment free from any form of
discrimination and harassment. The University Anti Harassment
Committee is entrusted with the responsibility to deal with
cases of extraordinary personal nature, if any. This Committee
takes up all representations on priority basis and ensures
effective dispensation of justice, irrespective of status,
faith, class or gender of the complainant while maintaining
confidentiality of the matter.
The office of Controller of Examination, GC University
Lahore will conduct Send up Tests for the students
Intermediate Part-I and Part-II during the months of
Every student must appear in all the Tests/Examination, conducted
by the Office of Controller of Examination, GC University
Lahore. In case a student
remain absent in any Test/Examination due to an avoidable
circumstances, he should apply to the Controller of
Examination for Makeup Test along with the documentary proof
of his absence, failing which, even he will be find @ Rs.
200/- per paper maximum of Rs. 1200/-.
The Internal grade of each student, will be calculated
on the basis of his performance in the Tests/Examinations,
and his general conduct during the stay at the University.
The same will be forwarded to BISE Lahore for onward
printing on Intermediate Certificate.
A student must attend 75% of the lectures delivered in
each subject to be eligible to appear in the Final
Examination of Intermediate Part-I & Part-II, conducted by
Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
The Examination Admission Form, for Part-I and Part-II
Final Examination will be submitted to BISE Lahore
